There, he met Richard—a solo rider who had stopped to figure out which direction to go next. After a few more rides and conversations, the two bonded over a shared frustration: no shoe on the market could handle the transition from casual pit bike riding to off-bike adventures without wearing out.

What started as a one-seat rant quickly turned into napkin sketches and prototype testing. With Dustin on his feet 12 hours a day, his insights into comfort and performance were invaluable. Combined with Richard's background in product design and management, they created a shoe that's lightweight, durable, and built to move—on or off the bike.

A few months later, they launched their brand out of a garage, setting up at trail-heads and boat shows across the Atlantic region.
